My foot had caused me pain for years intermittently, "chronic plantar fascitis" said my physician. One morning I woke up with a swollen toe with no apparent cause, and I couldn't put much weight on the foot. The only solution my physician could offer was painkillers, which weren't very effective. It had been a week and my foot wasn't improving, so I was finally motivated to seek the assistance of a chiropractor.

I was limping badly when I came into Dr. Dumanski's office, and near tears with the effort of walking. I cringed when he took my foot in his hands; but he distracted me with a smile and a joke as he painlessly adjusted it. He then bid me to lay on my front, and he placed some acupuncture needles in my low leg and sore foot, and hooked up a tens machine on my back. Dr. Dumanski said he'd return in about 15 minutes, so I laid comfortably under a heat lamp and waited. When I left, I didn't feel much different, and I wondered if the whole ordeal had be wasted effort.

Later that evening I was dancing in three-inch heels. My foot felt completely normal! That was ten years ago, and I've never had problems since.
